Colombian death metal machine, DEFAMATORY, has been spewing its savage brand of death metal for almost a decade. Eight years after releasing its debut full-length album, "Premature Burial," DEFAMATORY will unleash its sophomore album, "Path of No Return," through Awakening Records on November 28, 2025.
Steeped in the classic '90s death metal of scene progenitors such as DEATH, MORBID ANGEL, OBITUARY, ENTOMBED, and others, DEFAMATORY crafts dark riffs that are both intricate and straightforward, yet always brutal.
Featuring guitarist/vocalist Andrés Figueroa, guitarist Cesar Castrillón, bassist Yerson Arias, and drummer Anderson Álvarez, DEFAMATORY proves to be a formidable unit.
On "Path of No Return," DEFAMATORY relentlessly bash their way through nine crushing death metal tracks, clocking in at a perfect 31-minute run time that captures all the aggression the band can dish out. Mainly keeping to mid-paced chugging tempos, DEFAMATORY knows how to inject memorable guitar melodies and chantable choruses at will.
