The album "Unholy Black Splendor" marks the return of MERCYLESS in 2014 and the return to the roots of Death Metal with well-assimilated wild Floridian influences (Obituary, Morbid Angel or Massacre) but which could just as easily be associated with the cavernous and equally "evil" ones of the Dutch band Pestilence or the German band Morgoth. This album also remains marked by technical and dense compositions worthy of Death and vicious riffs which look towards powerful and fast thrash reminding us of a certain Possessed.
